Nextlaw Labs CGO Maya Markovich recently appeared in two panels at Canadian Lawyer’s LegalTech Virtual Summit. The summit brought together legal practitioners and innovation professionals to address legal industry challenges and opportunities emerging from the COVID-19 landscape, from rapid integration of new technology to re-evaluation of client service delivery.
Maya spoke on “Practical Automation Tools to Maximize Your Firms Efficiency and Reduce Overhead,” providing advice on identifying contenders for automation, sharing concrete examples of projects streamlining workflows via automation tools, and discussing the pitfalls of automating inefficient or biased workflows.
Maya’s background in behavioral science and change management consulting also contributed to the panel “Change Management and Technology: Lessons Learned from the Pandemic.” The panelists discussed valuable lessons learned in the transition to a virtual setting, understanding structural and psychological barriers behind resistance and how to incentivize performance.
Earlier in the year, Maya was also featured in Canadian Lawyer Magazine, where she highlighted the ways in which Dentons is sustaining innovation culture.
